Faculty of Arabic Language

 

The Faculty of Arabic Language was founded in 1401 AH per a royal decree, but it dates back to 1372 AH when the Arabic language constituted an independent department within the Faculty of Teachers. In 1386 AH, a department of Arabic language was opened in the Faculty of Education, then it was adjoined to the Faculty of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies in the same year. The faculty was founded in response to the required expansion in academic departments that provide specialized studies in language, grammar, inflection, rhetoric, criticism, in addition to postgraduate studies in the Arabic language.

 

Department of Arabic Postgraduate Studies:

It was introduced to the faculty in 1393 AH, and it offers both masters and doctoral degrees.
