Guide for participating in extra curricular activities

  • 1. How to participate?
  • * Students are to go to the student affairs office at the University headquarters in Aziziya, the student affairs office in al-Zaher campus for female students in Makkah, student affairs office in al-Ta'ef for both male and female students.
  • * Meeting the heads of the particular activity the student is interested in who will then guide the student on how best to contact the student club offering this activity.
  • * Students can contact the various student clubs and learn about their members and the various activities offered.
  • * Choose the club with the activities you are interested in.
  • * After choosing a particular club, fill out the necessary forms to join.
  • * It is important not only to be involved in the activities of the club, but to also work on organizing its activities and events.
  • * We advise you to get to know the other members of the club.
  • * It is important to always voice your opinions clearly and honestly while respecting the opinions of others.
  • * It is vital to work as a team, true efficiency and competence comes from the creativity derived from team spirit.
  • * Manage your time so that you can participate in your student activities while allowing for sufficient time for studying.
  • * If your activities require you to miss attending class in some cases, request an excuse form and present it to your instructor.
  • * Accept and abide by your club rules and guidelines.
  • 2. How to participate in athletic activities?
  • * Students are to follow the various athletic announcements and are encouraged to try to participate in them.
  • * Students are to contact the college's administration in the University's main office in Aziziya if they are interested in the University Athletic Olympics, contests and open tournaments. Students must fill out the necessary forms and coordinate on how to best participate in training for their desired activity.
  • 3. How to participate in summer activities?
  • * Summer activities encourage the beneficial use of student time during the summer, while providing them with important knowledge, experiences and skills which lead to forming and developing their character benefiting their society.
  • * The University has been keen on implementing this activity since its first years. The university founded 17 summer centers by the year 1423 A.H. in Makkah.
  • * The first summer center was established in 1403 A.H. with 2430 participating students.
  • * The first summer center in al-Ta'ef was established in the year 1405 A.H.
  • * The objectives of the summer centers include:
  • * Alleviating the spare time problem during the summer vacation.
  • * Connecting the student with their community.
  • * The exchange of knowledge and ideas through the various activities.
  • * Creating an environment that enables students to meet and make friendships.
  • * Prevention of psychological problems which many of the youth are prone to and satisfying their social needs.
  • * Teaching the students to take initiative and participate in management, organization and taking steps towards solving their own problems.
