Clinical Nutrition Program
The College of Applied Sciences' Clinical Nutrition Program features only one specialty, namely, clinical nutrition for the significance of the specialty is reflected on the criticality of nutrition and diet to the human health. Healthy, balanced nutrition has become the end of all people of all ages to keep on health and safety.
Objectives:
- Acquisition of basic rules of clinical nutrition.
- Application of modern approaches for assessment of the nutritional state of the patient.
- Meal planning in good health and ailment.
- Preparation and application of appropriate diets for severally-infected patients.
- Conducting quantitative and quality field survey of all residential communities.
- Application of state-of-the-art means of communication and training for nutrition activation and design of community health programs to promote public health levels.
Department Preparations and Potentials at hand:
First: Scientific Laboratories:
- General nutrition laboratory.
- Food analysis laboratory.
- Therapeutic nutrition laboratory.
- Basic department laboratories.
Second: Classrooms and Halls: are equipped with the state-of-the-art means of medical education.
Third: Medical Colleges Library: equipped with recent medical references and books in the specialties of the College.
Clinical Nutrition Program Careers:
The Program graduates can serve as clinical nutrition specialist in all health sectors in the course of health Saudization policy.
