Due to the rapid change and advance in the field of information technology, many if not all sciences depend on computers, especially in the academic fields (universities-colleges-institutions) as computers offer various academic and administrative services.

Umm Al-Qura Information Technology and Technical Support Center provides and supports the University's departments with automated services related to all the educational, research and administrative fields. This entails developing and automating all regular manual work, such as building a network that connects all the University's departments and branches, allowing everyone in the University to browse the Internet and operating the University's academic and administrative systems. Furthermore, these services are available for the University's academic staff, administrative staff and male and female students regardless of their departments and majors.
