Television Educational Center

 

Establishment:

The Television Educational Center was established in 1394-1395 A.H.

 

Tasks:

The television department undertakes the following tasks:

  • Supervising the television halls.
  • Following up the television halls regarding the maintenance of devices (display screens, televisions, microphones, lighting, air conditions and chairs) and notifying the manager.
  • Following up the implementation of television halls systems.
  • Writing the schedule for lectures that are broadcasted through the television network, from the beginning and until the end of the semester, and sending a copy thereof to the university studies department.
  • Moving the lectures to another hall in case the television hall is not enough for the increasing number of students, after taking the permission of the teaching staff and notifying the schedule department.
  • Following up the changes in the academic schedule made by the registration department.
  • Matching the actual lectures in the television halls with the schedule sent by the registration department in the beginning of each semester.
  • Counting the number of seats in each hall at the beginning of the year to determine the number of seats needed in each hall.
  • Immediate notification of any emergency that takes place in the buildings where there are television halls.

 

The communication department undertakes the following tasks:

  • Copying the final examination schedules for all departments, sent by the university studies department, in special forms, to facilitate following up the process of examinations.
  • Following up the process of examinations, by making sure of receiving the examination papers on time, and reporting any delay in submitting the examination papers to the officials in the committee.
  • Organizing the process of transferring the examination and the answers papers to and from the communication department.
  • Providing a substitute place other than the supervision cabins in case a dysfunction takes place or the number of cabins is not enough for the students and supervisors.
  • Collecting the assignments submitted by the students to the teachers by the end of each semester, and sending them to the relevant departments to be delivered to the students.
  • Making notifications of the dysfunctions that take place in the supervision cabins and reporting them immediately to the relevant department.
