The Center of Teaching Aids and Educational Technology

Beginning:

The Center was founded in 1392/1393 A.H. and it followed the Faculty of Education. Then it was supervised by the Educational and Technical Services administration before becoming an independent center like all other centers in the University. In 1404 A.H., the Center established a branch for female students, which is equipped with all what is necessary for training female students on making and using the teaching aids, just like the Main Center.

The Center's Objectives:

  • Offering academic training to female students.
  • Providing different services for female students and teachers to make the teaching aids they need during the training.
  • Helping in the process of educational development.
  • Making available all the instruments and teaching aids needed in the field of training for the University female students.
  • Contributing in training some of the members of the University academic staff on using these instruments and aids.
  • Taking part in the University's various activities.
  • Recording the master's and doctorate degrees symposiums held in the University in cooperation with the Educational Television.

The Center's Missions:

1. Educational

  • Offering training for female students in the courses of "Teaching Aids" and "Preparing the Aids" (Kindergarten).

2. Technical

  • Providing media and documentary services inside as well as outside the University to benefit the academic staff and female students to the utmost.
  • Making available all the teaching aids, instruments and whatever serves the educational process.
  • Specifying a corner in the Center for keeping the teaching aids made by female students of all specializations to help female student teachers (to borrow).
  • Holding a permanent and up-to-date exhibition displaying all the aids made by female students and explaining the aim behind them.
