التدرج الوظيفي الأكاديمي : 1- معيد بقسم الأحياء بكليتي العلوم بجدة والتربية بمكة المكرمة - جامعة الملك عبد العزيز اعتباراً من 15/7/1394هـ - 1974م . 2- أستاذ مساعد وعضو هيئة تدريس بقسم الأحياء - كلية العلوم التطبيقية - جامعة أم القرى اعتباراً من 14/11/1401هـ الموافق 3 /9 /1981م . 3- أستاذ مشارك وعضو هيئة تدريس بقسم الأحياء - كلية العلوم التطبيقية - جامعة أم القرى اعتباراً من 23/12/1407هـ الموافق 17/8 /1987. 4- أستاذ دكتور وعضو هيئة تدريس بقسم الأحياء - كلية العلوم التطبيقية - جامعة أم القرى اعتباراً من 22/06/ 1414هـ.
الأعمال الإداريــة : 1- نائب رئيس قسم الأحياء اعتباراً من 12/11/1402هـ. 2- رئيس قسم الأحياء لمدة عامين خلال الفترة من 12/3 /1403هـ إلى 11/3 /1405هـ ، وخلال فترة رئاسة القسم تم إنجاز الكثير من الأعمال. 3- مشرف على وحدة المتاحف بالجامعة منذ 09/02/ 1420هـ ، وحتى 4/1/1428هـ. 4- مشرف على إدارة يوم المهنة الثاني لعام 1423هـ. 5- مشرف على إدارة يوم المهنة الثالث لعام 1424هـ. 6- تجديد التكليف كمشرف على إدارة يوم المهنة للأعوام 1421هـ ،1422هـ ،1423هـ ، 1424هـ ، 1425هـ 1426هـ. 7- عميد كلية علوم الباحة لمدة عامين إعتباراً من 28/10/1426هـ .
النشاطات العلمية المتنوعة : 1- الإرشاد الأكاديمي لطلبة القسم. 2- الإشراف على الرحلات العلمية لطلبة القسم لبعض المقررات الدراسية. 3- إجراء البحوث المفردة أو بالتعاون مع أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالقسم في إجراء بحوث مشتركة. 4- المشاركة في إلقاء وتنظيم الندوات العلمية التي تعقد داخل القسم. 5- القيام برحلات علمية خاصة بالأبحاث. 6- القيام برحلات علمية لبعض المقررات الدراسية بمشاركة الطلاب. 7- تقييم وإعطاء الصلاحية لمشاريع الأبحاث المقدمة من جامعات ومراكز علمية داخل الجامعة وخارجها في مجال التخصص. 8- التحكيم العلمي للعديد من البحوث العلمية بغرض إجازتها للنشر داخلياً وخارجياً . 9- الإشراف العلمي على الرسائل العلمية لطلبة الماجستير في القسم . 10- القيام بتحكيم وإجازة عدد من رسائل الماجستير والدكتوراه في مجال التخصص لطلبة وطالبات بعض الجامعات السعودية وكليات البنات التابعة للإدارة العامة لتعليم البنات . 11- القيام بتحكيم وإجازة عدد من الترقيات العلمية إلى درجة أستاذ مشارك وأستاذ دكتور في بعض الجامعات السعودية. 12- المشاركة بدور فعال في وضع المقترح الخاص ببرنامج الماجستير في تخصص علم الحيوان بالقسم. 13- رئيس أو عضو في الكثير من لجان القسم ومنها على سبيل المثال لجنة الجداول ، لجنة الأجهزة العلمية ، لجنة الكيماويات ، لجنة الزجاجيات ، اللجنة الثقافية ، لجنة الدراسات العليا. 14- المشاركة في عضوية لجنة منح الأبحاث المالية المقدمة من شركة سابك. 15- عضو لجنة المبتكرات العلمية في بداية تكوينها بالكلية. 16- هذا بالإضافة إلى الكثير من الأعمال الأخرى التي لا يتسع المجال لذكرها .
